Pre-Departure Checklist
- Review policies and submit the Housing Application
- Pay the housing deposit

- Join our Facebook group – invitation included in your confirmation email
Before booking air travel
◊ Review your housing application: anything to add or change?
◊ Review the earliest and latest move-in/out dates
◊ Review airport pick-up hours of operation
◊ Keep interacting within Facebook group searching for potential roommates
◊ Expect to receive our Welcome to JCU Housing Letter sent via email
Online check-in, done prior to arrival
◊ Submit housing contract (link included in welcome letter)
◊ Review the Roman Housing Booklet
◊ Print useful documents: Arrival Survival Guide
◊ Scan, save and print a copy of your passport and visa pages
Packing
◊ Review our advice within the Roman Housing Booklet
◊ Familiarize yourself with JCU Housing Policies and Regulations. You will be responsible for these policies and regulations in JCU Housing.
Upon Arrival Check-in Flow
- Clear customs and walk into the arrival waiting area
- Make your way to the meeting point at Fiumicino Airport Terminal 3 arrivals near the Information desk
- Drop your luggage off with the JCU representatives
- Take the provided transportation to your housing check-in point
- Have your passport in hand
- Receive the keys to your assigned apartment
- Receive apartment maps with directions
- Be aware of your assigned time for the MANDATORY Housing Workshop
- Read over your Resident Assistant's Letter and take note of the time and place for that MANDATORY meeting too
- Meet Student Services Representatives and receive your orientation bracelet
- Review the conditions and provisions in your apartment; and fill out the mandatory online 'Housing Inventory Form' within 48 hours from your arrival (link included in email received upon move-in)
- Attend the Mandatory Housing Workshop - don't make evening or travel plans during orientation weekend!
- Attend the mandatory meeting with your assigned Resident Assistant
- Discuss the Roommate Agreement form with your new roommates
