Financial Aid at JCU

The Office of Financial Aid is dedicated to making JCU accessible for all students and their families. We offer a range of financial aid options, including merit-based scholarships, need-based grants, and external funding, to support students in achieving their academic goals.

Merit-Based Scholarships

JCU offers merit-based scholarships to incoming students, which can be combined with need-based financial aid. These scholarships apply to the Fall and Spring semesters and are adjusted for the summer session based on the number of registered credits. They do not cover personal expenses such as housing, travel, books, or other miscellaneous costs.

How to Apply

Complete the Merit-Based Scholarship Application. The JCU Scholarship Committee will review the application for all eligible merit-based scholarships and award the one with the highest value. Only one merit-based scholarship will be granted, and applicants will be notified upon acceptance to JCU.

Need-Based Grants

JCU offers a need-based financial aid grant for students who demonstrate financial need. The grant may be combined with merit-based scholarships and discounts.

JCU Assistance Grant

The JCU Assistance Grant is a need-based award available to both new and current students who can demonstrate a legitimate financial need. The award amount is based on a family's annual income supported by necessary financial documentation. Students may receive up to €/$4,000 annually.

How To Apply

Required Financial Documentation

  • U.S. Students: Submit FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov
  • Italian Students: Submit ISEE
  • International Students (non-US/Italian): Submit official financial documents, translated into English, indicating annual family income.

JCU Family Discounts

JCU offers discounts on undergraduate tuition and fees for families of current students and alumni.

External Scholarships
