Financing your semester or summer abroad in Rome, Italy, is more affordable than you might think! As an American liberal arts university abroad, John Cabot University aims to create a diverse community of degree-seeking and study abroad students while keeping our programs as affordable as possible.
To recognize the important role study abroad students play in supporting JCU's mission, we offer generous scholarships based on merit and financial need. Additionally, we provide a list of external scholarship resources for those seeking additional funding. JCU also participates in the U.S. Title IV Program, allowing students to use federal financial aid from their home institution at JCU.
Students studying abroad at JCU may be able to use financial aid from their home school to cover JCU tuition, housing, and meal plan costs. Eligible aid includes Federal Student Aid, Private Loans, Veteran Education Benefits, and Scholarships/Grants.
JCU is not authorized to administer federal loans to study abroad students earning credits towards a degree program in the US. Students can only receive Federal Student Aid from one university at a time. Therefore, your home institution must administer all of your Federal Student Aid, which you can then transfer to JCU, to meet your expenses while studying abroad.
