Welcome to the Department of Business Administration at John Cabot University in Rome, where academic excellence and international business experience are brought together to prepare tomorrow's socially responsible business leaders. We provide first-class business education in the liberal arts context, which prepares our students for successfully dealing with the many global challenges our societies are facing today. Our unique location in Rome allows students to take advantage of our strong network with established corporations, start-ups, non-profit organizations and other stakeholders to develop a broader understanding of the importance and meaning of business know-how and experience firsthand a contemporary world of business by becoming part of this network. We offer Bachelor of Arts degrees in Business Administration, International Business, and Marketing, as well as minors in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing.

FACULTY

Our faculty members are successful business people, entrepreneurs and scholars who have prepared for their careers at the world's most prestigious universities (including U.C. Berkeley, Harvard, London Business School, London School of Economics, LUISS, and Oxford). Our professors come from and have worked in the Americas, Europe and Asia, in a wide range of industries and managerial positions. We strive to bring this diverse, international experience into the classroom, punctuating business theory with real life, hands-on experience. An average class size of 15:1 enables us to pursue our student-centered learning philosophy and encourage individual growth and group interaction—the wide variety of teaching methods we use includes case studies, simulations, special projects, and more.

AACSB Accreditation

The fundamental purpose of AACSB accreditation is to challenge business educators to pursue excellence and continuous improvement in their business programs. John Cabot is one of fewer than 6% of business schools worldwide, and the first American university in Europe to have earned this prestigious accreditation.

RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

Department’s faculty are active researchers who regularly publish their research in high-impact peer-reviewed international journals, contribute their expertise to international research projects, collaborate as consultants with some of the world’s foremost international organizations, and regularly participate as invited speakers in public outreach activities. Our professors actively involve students in their research activities as part of the research assistantship program to best prepare them for prospective graduate studies.
