John Cabot University kicked off the Fall 2025 semester by welcoming over 1,040 new students to its vibrant urban campus in the heart of Rome’s historic Trastevere neighborhood.
With students from 45 U.S. states and 56 countries, our incoming students join returning students to bring Fall 2025 enrollment to about 1,900—making John Cabot University one of the largest American universities in Europe.
The incoming class includes first-time freshmen, transfer students, freshmen abroad, study abroad students, and gap year students, all joining a dynamic international community. Additionally, the Center for Graduate Studies welcomed 17 new students to the MA in Art History and 15 to the MA in International Affairs, further enriching the academic landscape.
New degree-seeking and visiting students hail from all corners of the world, including Afghanistan, Albania, Aruba, Bermuda, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Norway, Panama, Philippines, Portugal, Russian Federation, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Tajikistan, The Netherlands, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America, Uzbekistan, and Venezuela.
This semester also marks the launch of the Bachelor of Arts in Art and Design, an innovative program that combines the liberal arts tradition with the creative and technical skills essential for careers in the visual arts. The program is housed in Honorable Frank J. Guarini Art Center, located in JCU’s recently inaugurated New Campus—a 16,000-square-foot facility adjacent to the Frohring Campus.
The New Campus features state-of-the-art studios, a dedicated screening room, a new Aula Magna, a rooftop terrace, and vibrant community spaces, including the Il Melograno café, designed to foster creativity and collaboration.
