Michele Riondino teaches International Children’s Rights and Comparative Legal Systems in the Department of Political Science and International Affairs at John Cabot University. Since 2022, he has been a Guest Professor of Canon Law at KU Leuven. Prior to joining JCU, he was Full Professor of Canon Law and International Children’s Rights at the ACU Law School in Sydney and the Inaugural Director of the Canon Law Centre. Previously, he held teaching and research appointments at the Lateran University (Rome), LUMSA University (Rome), IADC-Gregorian University (Rome), UCAM (Murcia-Madrid), and as a visiting scholar at Heythrop College-University of London. Professor Riondino has published numerous articles and papers in internationally recognized law journals and regularly delivers public lectures at major international conferences and universities worldwide. Together with his academic commitments, he has always been involved in advocacy for children's rights and child protection as a legal advisor for public and private institutions and associations in Italy, Australia, and the USA. Most recently, he was also the Head of the Children's Rights Study and Research Centre at Telefono Azzurro Foundation in Rome.
