On April 17, 2026, John Cabot University hosted its biannual Career Fair, organized by the Center for Career Services. The event brought students and alumni together with employers for a full day of interviews, company talks, and networking opportunities.

This edition was one of the most diverse yet, welcoming both returning partners and first-time participants from sectors as varied as luxury hospitality, aerospace, publishing, and finance.

New Industries, New Perspectives

For the first time, the world of publishing was represented at the JCU Career Fair. AG Book Publishing was joined by four JCU interns who presented the work they contributed to during their internship: one original play and three translations. Having their names in print was a testament to just how much JCU students bring to the table.

Aon brought psychology into the conversation with a company talk titled "The Difference Between a Successful Career and a Successful Life" – an invitation to think beyond job titles and salaries, and to reflect on what a truly fulfilling professional life looks like.

Meanwhile, headhunting firm MCS tackled a question on every young professional’s mind with their talk, "From Campus to Career: What Makes a Young Talent Stand Out Today?" The session proved both highly practical and thought-provoking.

Employers Who Keep Coming Back

One of the strongest indicators of the Career Fair’s impact is the number of companies that return year after year. This edition welcomed Rocco Forte Hotels, Thales Alenia Space, Birra Peroni, CIEE, Stairway Education, and Skylife Management, all of whom have previously hired JCU students.

Livia Marmotta, employer branding specialist at Birra Peroni, noted: "Last time, we really appreciated the warm welcome and the excellent preparation of your students. Right now, we are hosting two JCU students, and everyone is impressed by their passion and commitment."

Perhaps the most compelling sign of the Career Fair's impact came from CIEE and Skylife Management, both of which sent JCU alumni as their company representatives –professionals they had hired through a previous edition of the fair. It was a full-circle moment that speaks louder than any statistic: students who previously walked the Career Fair floor were now back on the other side of the table, as employers themselves.

Student Voices

For many attendees, the Career Fair marked their first real conversation with a potential employer – a step that felt, for some, more manageable than expected. Biagio D'Arconso, an International Business and Marketing student, reflected: "The interview was conversational and I didn't feel pressured. I would recommend the Career Fair to everyone: it's one of the few opportunities to engage directly with professionals and experience something different from academic life before entering the workforce."

Others returned as alumni, using the event as a springboard for their next chapter. Nihal Lenghi, who previously landed an internship with Dorna World SBK through the Career Fair, was back, this time looking for her next opportunity. When asked what she liked most about the day, she shared: "I love the diversity of sectors represented. There's really something for everyone."
