John Cabot University is pleased to present Come fare il tuo primo milione (How to Make Your First Million, Edizioni Guerini) by Professor Tobias Schildfat on February 11, 2026.

It is the Italian translation of Professor Schildfat’s Swedish bestseller Vägen till din första miljon – alla kan bygga en egen pengamaskin (The Road to Your First Million Everyone Can Build Their Own Money Machine, Bokförlaget Polaris, 2024), which has already sold over 100,000 copies. The book is available in bookstores throughout Italy and online.

Professor Schildfat has been teaching Marketing at John Cabot University since 2024 and is currently teaching EXP 1023 Understanding and Managing Personal Finance and MKT 335 Retailing Applied to the Fashion Industry.

He holds a master's degree in business administration with a major in management and marketing from the Lund School of Economics in Sweden, and he completed his Erasmus-scholarship at Napier Business School in Edinburgh. He has worked as a stockbroker for Handelsbanken, one of the primary financial institutions in Sweden, and as business manager with Findus, one of Sweden’s largest food companies. He is an established entrepreneur and the CEO of Solentro, the company he founded in 2008.

“I am very pleased that Italy is the first country outside of Sweden to publish this book,” says Professor Schildfat. “The country, people, and culture have given me so much, so it makes me very happy to give back some of what I have received with this book.”

Professor Schildfat is often interviewed by the press on personal finances. He encourages young graduates to start early and build a “money machine.” His approach, as he explains in the book, is steady and long-term: “It is not about short-term wins; the point is to let time and interest work in your favor. It is something that everyone can do to build their financial independence over time.”  He advises students to “think like banks, which have time and interest on their side, and so should you. But always remember what is most important - health, love, and friendship.”

The book presentation will be held in the Aula Magna Regina of the Guarini Campus on Wednesday, February 11 at 6 PM, followed by an aperitivo. The event, which is open to the public, will be in English.
