The Master's program in Luxury Management and Customer Experience – Italian Excellence is a full-time 12-month course.


The goal of the program is to provide young professionals with the various technical and managerial skills that are needed today to operate in the luxury sector. The program aims to shape future professionals in the world of hospitality, jewelry and other luxury sectors, with a particular focus on the Luxury Customer Experience and Italian Excellence. Moreover, participants will learn how to help businesses develop and manage skills to stand out in the luxury field. Success in this environment requires specific skills that are rarely covered by traditional programs in general management.

This program offers a concentrated and specialised learning experience, which is also highly customised. The learning by doing approach ensure a strong interaction inside and outside classes, and offers the opportunity to actually apply what has been learned. It is organized in 4 pillars:

  • Luxury Industry and Managing Excellence in Value Chain
  • Luxury Branding and Communication
  • Italian Excellence and the Italian Touch: Creating the Finest Customer Experience
  • Project Work/Internship

The program is a 12-month Master's program in English, from September 2024 to April 2025. The first month of General Management will be delivered online, followed by six months of classes in Rome.
During and after classes, students will have the opportunity to apply their acquired knowledge through practical activities.

Each semester, the Center engages its network in talks, lectures and special classes hosted in classroom or online. The talks are open to all students and allow them to connect with alumni who are now professionals, representatives of partner companies, faculty and leading figures from the contemporary scene.

The strong synergy between academic and job-specific skills makes it possible to perfect managers who can grow professionally, while developing their work identity. For this reason, the Center provides individual and group support through counseling and guidance services. 

JOBIRI is the JCU Career Services virtual career coach: a job/career platform using artificial intelligence and available in English and Italian, with a wide range of benefits for students and graduates.

Webinar and sessions are open to all students, allowing them to learn techniques and mechanisms for optimizing their professional profile, with topics ranging from soft skills needed by the job market to personal branding optimization via LinkedIn profile.

POLIMI GSoM Career Development Center is an extended team of Career Consultants partnering with mentors, trainers, alumni and headhunters, with the objective of developing Career Management Skills. The Career Consultants design, constantly innovate and enrich the Career Development Programme, offering Career Skills Development Workshops, Career Counselling and Networking Events every year.

Thanks to POLIMI GSoM’s Career Development Programme, adopting an innovative and rigorous methodology, students will be guided through a structured development path. Starting from a self-assessment of their skills and an analysis of the job market, candidates will design a customised career strategy and an effective action plan, to turn their career aspirations into achievable goals. At the end of POLIMI GSoM's Career Development Programme, students will have developed a set of professional skills that enable them to be highly competitive in today’s job market, and become successful “Career Leaders”. To offer students the best support for enhancing their CV, POLIMI GSoM is partnering with VMock, a smart Career Preparation Platform that enables you get an objective score on your CV and optimise its impact. To provide students with relevant resources relating to trends in various industry sectors, country-specific career guides and career-related webinars, POLIMI GSoM is partnering with major international career platforms and guarantees students free access to POLIMI GSoM’s Global Network of Career Websites.

Right from the start of the program, the Career Development Centre supports the candidates in increasing their brand and economic value, to enable them to pursue their managerial career at both national and international level. The Career Development Centre organises workshops with the main objective of supporting students in developing the necessary Career Management Skills to succeed in this complex and ever-changing competitive job market, such as personal branding skills, job interview skills, public speaking & presentation skills, and cross-cultural skills for working in international teams and organisations. 

Thanks to FLEXA, a personalised and continuous learning digital platform designed for POLIMI GSoM students and alumni, the Career Development Centre offers innovative services:

The POLIMI GSoM Career Development Centre may offer students additional opportunities to network with employers, such as on-campus company presentations, in-company visits and Career Days.
