About the Scholarship
John Cabot University (JCU) and Hult International Business School (Hult) have renewed their partnership to expand global learning opportunities for students. As part of this collaboration, Hult is offering two full scholarships for JCU students to attend its prestigious Boston Summer Bootcamp. Additionally, partial tuition support is available for other JCU students who wish to participate. This initiative reflects both institutions’ commitment to international education and experiential learning, providing JCU students with direct access to Hult’s renowned business programs.
Program Details
Program Duration
The Hult Boston Summer Bootcamp consists of two 3-week cohorts:
- Cohort 1: July 7 – July 25, 2025;
- Cohort 2: August 4 – August 22, 2025.
Program Structure
The program is designed to offer a dynamic and immersive learning experience, including:
- Week 1: Leading Change in global business environments + public speaking skills;
- Week 2: Design Thinking, social entrepreneurship + presentation and pitching;
- Week 3: Innovation challenge with industry-specific problem-solving.
Students will participate in hands-on workshops, networking events, and innovation challenges, gaining practical business insights and engaging with a global network of peers.
Successful completion of the program will earn 3 academic credits (which will appear on the transcript as BUS 399) as well as a certificate of completion.
Eligibility
- Open to JCU undergraduate students in their junior or senior year;
- Students from all majors are encouraged to apply;
- Minimum GPA: 3.0;
- Demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship, leadership, and social innovation.
Financial Information
Covered by Hult:
- Full tuition and accommodation for the selected scholars;
- Partial tuition support for additional JCU students;
- Participation in all program activities.
Covered by Students:
- Campus insurance;
- Transportation to and from Boston;
- Meals and personal expenses;
- Any additional travel outside of program activities.
Application Process
The application process is divided into three phases:
- Online Application — The application process must be completed through Hult's Summer Bootcamp webpage.
- Interview — Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview.
- Selection — All candidates will be notified of the outcome of their application by early Summer 2025.
All applications must go through the JCU Institute for Entrepreneurship.

Martina Oliveto shared her experience: “Four months ago, I was convinced that I would not pursue a master’s degree. However, thanks to the Bootcamp experience at Hult Business School and the collaboration with JCU, a new and incredible opportunity opened up for me. I applied for a master’s program, was accepted, and even received a high-range scholarship. Today, I officially confirmed my spot, and I will be moving to Dubai in October. I am truly grateful for this life-changing experience.”
FAQs
Who is eligible to apply?
All JCU undergraduate students in their junior or senior year with a minimum GPA of
3.0 are eligible.
For full scholarship consideration, students currently in their junior year (between 60 and 90 credits) are given priority.
Freshman and sophomore applicants are still eligible to attend the program by either paying the full tuition fee or joining through the “Bring a Friend” offer, which means joining the Summer Bootcamp with a fellow JCU student, both receiving a 50% scholarship.
Will there be another chance to apply if I am not selected?
Yes, the Hult Bootcamp is expected to run annually. Students who are not selected
may apply in the future.
Are meals included in the program?
No, students are responsible for their meals, though some meals will be part of the
program activities.
What are the necessary documents for the application process?
The necessary documents are:
- Passport copy
- Proof of English proficiency (JCU academic transcripts qualify)
- Personal Statement, covering the candidate’s background, experience and future aspirations
Will the outcome of the selection process be communicated to all the applicants, regardless
of whether they won the scholarship or not?
Yes, the outcome of the selection process will be communicated to all applicants.
If a student was to win the full scholarship, would they need to pay the program fee
upfront and then receive a refund, or will Hult cover the fee directly without requiring
them to pay anything? How much does the campus insurance cost for the program?
Each winner will need to pay just a USD 500 fee to secure their seat in the program.
This fee covers the mandatory health insurance while in the US. Additional costs include
visa/ESTA fees, flights, and meals.
Can scholarship winners decide which of the two sessions of the Bootcamp (July 7-25
and August 4-22) to attend or does Hult choose it for them?
Students can choose their preferred intake.
Can scholarship winners select whether to attend the Boston or the London camp?
No, this opportunity is exclusively for the Boston camp.
Is it necessary to pay the $95 application fee when applying for the full scholarship?
No, you do not have to pay the application fee.
