Fabrizio Cialdea has a background in electronics, software, and telecommunications. After earning a Master in UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) in 2005, he started working at Telecom Italia Mobile in 2006 as Interoperability RF Engineer. While working at TIM, he decided to pursue a new Master in Knowledge Management / Project Management at the Sapienza University of Rome and later decided to join the faculty of Telecommunication Engineering at the same university.

He then left TIM to join LG Electronics (Rome and Paris, 2008) to work with its R&D team on the design and delivery of new smartphones in the EU market. He left LG Electronics to join Huawei Technologies (Rome, Dusseldorf) in late 2010 to work as Wireless Engineer first and then as Technical Director.

While working at Huawei, he took a startup related course called "InnovAction Lab" (2011), where he met other participants and founded Atooma - a app to automate routines and tasks on smartphones and the web.

Atooma received attention from the media and won many awards in Italy and abroad, including Best App of the World at the Mobile World Congress 2013, the 2012 Italian TechCrunch Edition, and international competitions like INCENSE, HUBRAUM Innovation Contest, EIT ICT Digital and others.

After completing his engineering studies (2013) he then decided to leave Huawei to fully focus on the Atooma project, and in January 2014 he became CEO and moved to San Francisco to launch Atooma Inc.

He spent about five years in the U.S., where he pivoted Atooma into Resonance Systems Inc., a B2B SaaS solution based on A.I. and deep tech.

After his exit from Atooma and Resonance, Professor Cialdea returned to Italy and started to work as independent contractor for multiple activities (he has been Entrepreneur in Residence, coaching 100+ startups with TIM Working Capital, he taught design thinking and lean startup methodology at several corporations, and he is currently teaching entrepreneurship at the Luiss Business School).

He is COO and Cofounder of a new startup, Loquis, and is working at the Department of Digital Transformation of the Italian Government (Presidenza del Consiglio).
