Service Learning Positions

Below you will find a selection of the most urgent positions that are being offered for the current semester in the context of the Service Learning Project. Please, note that if the job descriptions are in Italian, basic knowledge of the Italian language is required, as many of our partners work with the local community.   • Academic background in: Communications, Business Administration, Philosophy, International Affairs
  • Organizational skills
  • Creativity in content production and analysis
  • Fluent English and Italian (Spanish is a plus)
  • Good knowledge of: Social Media, Mailchimp and Wordpress


  • Drafting/editing a weekly "web review" and a "reports we support" from a selection of approved topics
  • Finding reliable sources to support the articles
  • Working closely with editors, writers and translators to make amendments
  • Adhering to our research methodology and linguistic style
  • Translating documents into English, Italian, French and Spanish (when candidates are bilingual)
  • Preparing a personal project work to be published.


  • Academic backgrounds in International Relations, Law, Human Rights, Development Cooperation, Communication, Translation and Interpretation, and Journalism
  • Fluency in English is essential; good knowledge of Italian is an asset
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive tools
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to coordinate with team members across different time zones
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Able to dedicate 10 -12 hours a week
  • Being flexible and reliable, while being considerate that each article is a group effort
  • Ability to condense large amounts of information into a limited word count/page


  • Fostering the dialogue between the foundation and the citizens, other foundations, FAO, the EU and institutions
  • Creating weekly content to maintain the foundation's presence on its websites and social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter e YouTube).
  • Coordinating and preparing information on the activities and creating and maintaining a newsletter
  • Proposing strategic alliances with other foundations and institutions to organize events, debates and exhibitions
  • Interacting with Italian and foreign press in Italy
  • Maintaining relations with foreign embassies in Italy.


  • Communications or Marketing Major
  • Perfect knowledge of English and Italian

  • Interest in the foundation's objective and mission
  • Adequate knowledge to complete the assigned tasks


  • Support in the creation, management and monitoring process of the campaigns and materials for Community Fundraising
  • Support in the coordination of local committees and promote the communication with them, with special attention to the participation in fundraising activities, distribution of informative material and management of the volunteers
  • Support in event organization to spread awareness and promoting activities
  • Support in managing, monitoring and analyzing data of fundraising campaigns
  • Support in creating, producing and archiving merchandising material and gifts
  • Support the fundraising campaigns with merchandising and solidarity gifts, planning their distribution and communicating with suppliers
  • Support in managing and following up relationships with stakeholders, with the aim to reinforce the positioning of the organization on the territory


  • BA in economics or humanities; preferably, master/course in fundraising
  • Volunteering experiences will be considered a plus
  • Good team-worker, result-oriented, able to prioritize
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and the main social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Perfect Italian and excellent English (oral and written)

Project Manager:
The internship aims to provide an experiential path in the area of project design for social and healthcare services, and offers the possibility to directly participate in all of the following activity areas:

  • Research and selection of announcements and opportunities issued by the Public Administration offices at Regional and National level or by other financial sources (Foundations, etc...), in the social and healthcare sector
  • In depth study of project management methodologies: defining the problem, designing the intervention, the objectives, the expected results and benefits, recognize the necessary activities and resources, timing, the instruments for the monitoring and the valuation of projects, the conditions for feasibility, the implementation of the project
  • Methodological elements of social intervention of various contents useful for the project work (refugee hospitality, assistance to elderly, minors, women in difficulties, homeless, building of community welfare, empowerment and participation, social assistance, educational work, etc...)
  • Development and management of local and national partners

Projects 3-6 months

Administration Secretary:
The objective of the internship is to develop management competences in administration activities. In particular, the intern will provide support for the following activities:

  • Register the correspondence of departures and arrivals
  • Digitalize the document archive of the Presidency
  • Archive the documentation, paper and digital
  • Draft reports
  • Administer phone calls
  • Prepare meetings

Staff 3-6 months

A company based in Rome, which operates in the environmental sector with particular reference to the conservation of nature and potential sources of funding, in particular EU, actions, plans and projects for the preservation of biodiversity.


  • Bibliographic research, gathering of information, documents, reports, etc. relating to the impact of biodiversity changes on human infectious diseases
  • Producing technical reports related to these activities


  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Excellent writing skills in both languages
  • Excellent knowledge of Office and Internet navigation

Specifics: part-time, unpaid
