The JCU Women in Leadership Program is designed for students who identify as women or nonbinary and, consistent with the University’s zero tolerance policy for discrimination of any kind, welcomes students of all genders who meet the admissions criteria. While the program’s content is tailored to address the experiences and opportunities often encountered by women in leadership, the strategies and insights it offers are valuable for anyone seeking to strengthen their leadership capabilities and advance their career.
To be eligible for the WLP, current JCU students must be juniors or seniors (60 credits at time of application), and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Once students are selected into the program, they will be able to apply for specific opportunities.
The WLP provides shadowing experiences, conferences, and workshops by senior female leaders, which become available on a rolling basis throughout the semester. In Spring 2026, shadowing opportunities are available in a selection of companies, organizations and UN agencies in: marketing, treasury/finance, HR, communications, publishing, and entrepreneurship.
The JCU Career Fair, held twice a year, brings leading employers directly to campus. It’s an opportunity to connect face-to-face with recruiters, interview for internships and jobs, and attend company presentations. Whether you're a freshman, a graduating senior or an alumnus, the Career Fair opens doors to new opportunities.
