John Cabot University is proud to announce that we will be sending a delegation to the COP29 (Conference of Parties) in Baku, Azerbaijan, this November! This prestigious event is a cornerstone in the global effort to address climate change, bringing together world leaders, policymakers, and experts to advance critical discussions on limiting global warming and implementing the Paris Agreement.

Our delegation will attend from November 15 to 20. Students interested in participating can apply to represent JCU at COP29; participants will also earn JCU's official Certificate in Sustainability.
HOW TO APPLY
In order to apply, you must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
You’re also required to deliver:
- A reflective 1-page single-space essay on:
What are the biggest challenges of COP29? How can you contribute? - Your track record of leadership in sustainability.
- Your 1-page resume highlighting problem-solving, multitasking, communication skills.
All material must be sent to [email protected] no later than October 1 by 1 PM.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
- Contribute up to €300 to the trip
- Do considerable prep work before the conference
- Be ready to miss a couple days of classes towards the middle of November
- Post about COP on JCU social media during the conference
- Share your experience through presentations and articles
