Joshua’s journey with BARS began in March 2025, when he secured a marketing internship through JCU’s Center for Career Services. Thanks to his performance, he was later promoted to his current role.

“Even as an intern, I felt included, supported, and trusted with responsibilities that helped me grow,” he said about his employers at BARS. “I was encouraged to learn, share ideas, and take ownership of projects.”

Joshua contributes across multiple areas of the business. His responsibilities include creating content for social media and promotional campaigns, editing videos, building presentations, and supporting email marketing initiatives. He is also gaining hands-on experience with cold outreach in a B2B environment, as well as working with CRM and sales tools. In addition to this, Joshua helps draft press releases, manages LinkedIn and YouTube communications, and collaborates daily with an international team in a fully remote setting.

“I am genuinely grateful for the support I received from Career Services team throughout the entire journey,” he said. “They helped me identify companies that matched my skills and interests. They also helped me improve my resume, so it was more professional and visually engaging. They significantly boosted my confidence by conducting a mock interview and preparing me for various potential questions. Thanks to this prep work, I knew exactly what to expect and felt completely ready for the actual interview. Looking back now, I am not sure I would have found such a well-aligned opportunity without their guidance.”

Career Services continues to support students through personalized advising, workshops, and internship opportunities tailored to individual goals.
