On December 12, 2025, John Cabot University hosted the 2025 Alumni and Friends Celebration, which brought together more than 50 alumni from various graduating years, at The Appuntamento in Rome. The event created a lively and welcoming atmosphere, where old friends reunited, new connections were made, and memories of student life were shared.
A highlight of the evening was the heartfelt address made by President Franco Pavoncello. Reflecting on his upcoming retirement, he expressed deep gratitude for the alumni community that has shaped John Cabot University over the years. In his remarks, he announced that the newly inaugured campus will be named after him.
Class of 2022
The reunion also celebrated achievements across generations. The Class of 2022 was recognized as the standout class of the year, while two alumni from the earliest graduating classes, Joyce Gioia Acon (class of 1975) and Laura Attar (class of 1976), were present,representing a bridge between decades of John Cabot history. Both received special recognition for their continued engagement and lasting contributions to the JCU community.
Throughout the evening, the atmosphere was both fun and inspiring. Attendees took the opportunity to network, reminisce about their student experiences, and celebrate the enduring spirit of the John Cabot family.
