CAROLINA MEUCCI, licensed clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, and Head Counselor. Dr. Meucci graduated in Clinical Psychology at La Sapienza University of Rome, in
2002. Dr. Meucci then spent 1 year completing an internship at Lutheran Medical Center,
Brooklyn, NY. She worked with the same hospital for two more years on a research project
with children and adolescents affected by the trauma of September 11th. Dr. Meucci
then enrolled in a two-year master’s program in Forensic Psychology at John Jay College
of Criminal Justice, graduating in 2007. She later completed a four-year specialization
in psycho-dynamic psychotherapy at ISIPSè in Rome, graduating in 2012. She recently
became a certified EMDR practitioner. Dr. Meucci currently works at the JCU Counseling
Center as Head of Counseling and in her private practice.

GINO MAGLIO, medical doctor and psychiatrist. Dr. Maglio graduated from medical school in 2014 at La Sapienza University of Rome,
then completed his residency in psychiatry in 2019 at “Policlinico Umberto I” university
hospital in the city center. During medical school, Dr. Maglio spent six months in
Antwerp, Belgium at Universitair Ziekenhuis and during his psychiatric residency he
worked at Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden for one year. Dr. Maglio
currently works at the JCU Counseling Center, at the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital,
and in his private practice.

LISA GABBARELLI, licensed clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, Ph.D. Dr. Gabbarelli graduated in Clinical Psychology from the University of Florence, in
2006; she then completed a one-year internship in the Clinical Psychology Unit at
the Careggi Hospital in Florence. In 2009 Dr. Gabbarelli moved to London to complete
a 3-year Ph.D. program in Psychology at the University of London, St. George’s Hospital.
When she moved back to Rome, Dr. Gabbarelli decided to undertake a four-year of psychotherapy
training at the Winnicott Institute of Rome. Dr. Gabbarelli currently works at the
JCU Counseling Center and in her private practice.

DOMENICO SCARINGI, licensed clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, Ph.D. Dr. Scaringi graduated in clinical psychology from La Sapienza University of Rome;
he then completed an M.Sc. in Developmental Psychopathology and Neuroscience through
a bridge program between University College London and Yale University. He then completed
a 4-year psychotherapy program in Rome, specializing in adolescents and young adults.
Finally, Dr. Scaringi completed a Ph.D. in psychology and cognitive sciences at La
Sapienza University in Rome. Dr. Scaringi currently works at the JCU Counseling Center,
Nostos Cooperativa Sociale, and in his private practice.

CATHERINE ROSSI, Italian licensed clinical psychologist and a US licensed Clinical Social Worker
and psychotherapist. Dr. Rossi graduated from La Sapienza University of Rome with a degree in Developmental
Psychology. She then moved to New York City where she worked at the NYU Child Study
Center and attended a master’s program at NYU. After earning her graduate degree,
Dr. Rossi worked at an outpatient clinical program for the treatment of substance
abuse in the criminal justice system. In New York, Dr. Rossi also trained in family
therapy at the Ackerman Institute for the Family. Dr. Rossi currently works at the
JCU Counseling Center and in her private practice.

JAMES PERRY, licensed clinical psychologist Dr. Perry graduated in clinical psychology from La Sapienza University of Rome and
then completed post-graduate clinical training at the Psychological Services department
of INMI Spallanzani Hospital, Italy's leading infectious disease hospital. He is currently
completing his four-year psychotherapy training at Istituto Gestalt Analitico in Rome.
Prior to moving to Europe, he completed an undergraduate degree in business administration
at Boston University. He has 15 years of experience working with US undergraduate
students abroad in Italy and Spain. Dr. Perry currently works at the JCU Counseling
Center, INMI Spallanzani, and in his private practice.
