Overview

Art and Design is an inherently interdisciplinary field that encompasses all aspects of creative practice, from conception to production. It is firmly anchored in theoretical and methodological approaches, and it is inherently experimental and socially engaged. Art and Design is an inherently interdisciplinary field that encompasses all aspects of creative practice, from conception to production. It is firmly anchored in theoretical and methodological approaches, and it is inherently experimental and socially engaged.

The Minor in Art and Design develops visual thinking and aesthetic awareness, as well as abilities for innovative decision-making, problem-solving, and project management. It enriches majors in History, International Affairs, Marketing, and Psychology, as well as those interested in Entrepreneurship, by deepening engagement with imaginative thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving, as well as developing abilities for creative production and aesthetic appreciation – ideal for careers in international institutions, NGOs, marketing and new media.

It complements majors in Art History, Communication, Creative Writing, Classical Studies, English Literature, Humanistic Studies, and Philosophy by providing a firm understanding of art practice, visual and critical thinking, and the interdisciplinary of intellectual and technical creativity – ideal for careers in journalism, visual and social media, publishing, research, and art and cultural heritage Management.

It adds to majors in Business Administration, International Business, Economics and Finance, Italian Studies, and Political Science by developing skills of project development (from conception to execution), as well as an understanding of experimentation as development strategy. It develops abilities for exchange of ideas and for creative solution strategies fundamental for leadership roles.
