Pursuant to article 13 of EU Regulation no. 679/2016, concerning the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, John Cabot University (hereinafter, the "Data Controller"), provides you with this information on the processing of personal data. The Data Controller may collect your personal data directly from you or from third parties for recruitment purposes. Such third parties may include recruitment agencies, job boards and publicly accessible websites such as LinkedIn, as well as specialized companies that facilitate the entry of recent graduates into the workforce. The data that will be collected may include your contact details, your employment and education history, professional skills and qualifications, as well as records of any interactions with us, including interviews and tests.

1. Purpose and treatment: your data is stored and processed exclusively for the following purposes:

  • To carry out the necessary assessments for the possible establishment of an employment or collaboration relationship with our company. Legal basis of the processing: execution of pre-contractual measures.
  • In the event of a positive evaluation, to prepare the necessary documentation to establish an employment or collaboration relationship. Legal basis of the processing: execution of pre-contractual measures.
  • To comply with specific obligations established by law or by other binding regulations (e.g. tax regulations, social security and assistance, hygiene and safety at work, protection of health, order and public safety). Legal basis of the processing: legal obligations.

To achieve the aforementioned purposes, it may also be necessary to process the data defined as "particular" by the GDPR pursuant to art. 9 paragraph 2.b. In particular, these could include data suitable for revealing the state of health or belonging to protected categories, subject to the provisions of labor regulations.

2. Legal basis for data processing: Personal data is processed without express consent to enable the selection process for potential recruitment (pursuant to Article 6, paragraph 1, letter b of the GDPR).

3. Processing methods and data retention time: your data is collected and stored electronically and will be subject to rigorous security measures to protect your privacy. Your data will only be accessible to those directly involved in the  assessment and recruitment process. Subsequently, if you are selected as an employee or contractor, you will be provided with a separate privacy notice regarding the use and retention of your personal data during your employment. Otherwise, your data will be kept for a maximum of two years from delivery, unless you specifically request cancellation.

4. Data recipients: the personal data collected to achieve the purposes indicated in point 1 above may be processed by subjects specifically appointed and interested in the candidate's profile and who intend to carry out an evaluation of the same, or by all subjects to whom the communication is due on the basis of specific legal obligations.

5. Disclosure/Transfer of data: your data will not be subject to further dissemination or transfer to non-EU countries.

6. Rights of the interested party: you have the right to request access to your personal data and, where the conditions are met, to rectify or cancel it, to limit or oppose its treatment. Where the conditions are met, you are entitled to data portability. To exercise the aforementioned rights, you can use the contact details listed in point 8. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent Supervisory Authority.
