Institutional Scholarships

JCU PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

JCU Presidential Scholarships are awarded primarily on the basis of academic achievement at the time of entry to the University. When awarding scholarships, in addition to academic achievement, JCU considers information provided during the Admissions process such as: personal statement, letters of recommendation, SAT scores, IB scores, AP tests, A-levels, and extracurricular achievements. The maximum award amount per student is up to $9,500 (€7,000) annually.

DEAN'S LIST SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The John Cabot University Dean's List Scholarship is awarded to a current JCU Students who have improved their academic performance from the time they entered JCU and are currently not receiving any other JCU-funded merit-based Scholarships. Students who earn this scholarship have demonstrated excellent academic performance in their studies by making the Dean's List.

ASSISTANCE GRANT FUND

JCU Assistance Grants are given to students who can demonstrate a legitimate need for aid. The amount awarded is up to $3,000 (€2,250) annually. The award is based on the official EFC (expected family contribution) as determined by the FAFSA for US students; students from other countries are required to submit official tax documents translated into English that indicate annual family income.

ITALIAN MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS FUND

The Italian Merit Scholarship provides financial aid for deserving Italian students with consideration of their academic merit, extracurricular activities and financial need.

GLOBAL EXPLORER SCHOLARSHIP

The Global Explorer Scholarship is a prestigious and competitive scholarship that covers the total cost of tuition and fees and is awarded for up to 3 of the best students of the entering class each academic year. All students who are evaluated for financial aid are automatically considered through an internal process. The Global Explorer Scholarship is renewed annually given that students maintain a 2.67 cumulative GPA and satisfactory academic progress at the end of each year.

EXPANSION SCHOLARSHIP

The Expansion Scholarships are designed to increase ethnic and national diversity at the University and are awarded to students who are citizens of countries in South and Central America (including Mexico). The Expansion Scholarship is an annual scholarship of €4,000 to €8,000. To qualify for this scholarship, a student needs an incoming GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent) and must have demonstrated leadership potential.
