Professor Favorite holds a D.Phil. and M.Phil. in International Relations from Oxford University, and a B.A. in History and French from Brown University. She started teaching at JCU in 2005.
After her studies, Professor Favorite began a management consulting career with Monitor Company, the consulting firm of Harvard Business School’s strategy guru, Michael Porter. She was based in Milan where she was Recruiting Director and worked throughout Europe in the travel, food, engineering and plastics industries.
Professor Favorite then spent ten years at ENI, Italy’s oil and gas company, in various communications and media roles. Her experience included work on ENI’s privatization campaigns; her most recent position was Head of Foreign Media. After becoming a mother, she transitioned to academics and private consulting.
At John Cabot University, she teaches Business Communication, Public Relations, and Integrated Marketing Communications. A common theme in her teaching is the growing importance of ESG (Environment, Social responsibility, and Governance) and sustainability in business. She also consults with private companies on communications projects, storytelling, and strategic content management on issues related to sustainability.
Professor Favorite is also the Executive Director of John Cabot University’s Center for Graduate Studies, Director of the Career Services Center, and Coordinator of Sustainability for Education Initiatives.
