Bio

Maria Caridi has been Lecturer in Management at JCU since 2022, teaching Operations Management and Supply Chain Management. She is the Director of the Executive MBA of POLIMI-Graduate School of Management and John Cabot University. Since 2018, she has been a visiting professor at Luiss Business School in Rome and a contract professor at Link Campus University in Rome. From 2014 to 2017, she was visiting scholar at the Lindner College of Business of the University of Cincinnati, OH. From 2010 to 2017, she served as Associate Professor at the Department of Management, Economics, and Industrial Engineering of Politecnico di Milano in Italy. From 2000 to 2017, she was a member of the faculty of MIP Politecnico di Milano Business School, where she served over the years as coordinator of the Supply Chain Management educational area, vice-director of Executive MBA part-time, vice-director of Open Programs, and vice-director of Executive Education.

In 1996, she got her Master of Science degree with honors in Management, Economics, and Industrial Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, and in 2000, she received her Ph.D. in Industrial Plants and Production Systems from the University of Parma, Italy.

Her research interests are in the fields of Operations and Supply Chain Management. She has authored over 100 publications on these topics. Since 2006, she has been an associate member of the editorial board of the European Journal of Industrial Engineering. Moreover, she serves as a reviewer for various operations management journals, such as Journal of Production Economics, European Journal of Operational Research, and Production Planning & Control.
