Fiamma Mozzetta, who started teaching at JCU in 2024, is a researcher and writer at the intersection of popular music and history, focusing on pop historical consciousness, memory, and heritage. In 2023, she completed a PhD at Goldsmiths with a thesis titled “Beyond Retromania: Reimagining Historical Consciousness in British, Italian, and Argentinian Popular Music.” Her writing has appeared in academic journals, edited books, and magazines (openDemocracy, KABUL Magazine, Agenzia X, Pacini Editore, NOT, Musica/Realtà, Riffs Journal).
