Federico Gianni (b. 1986) is a screenwriter and director whose work has garnered international acclaim. His short films have been screened at prestigious international festivals and have earned awards from the Directors Guild of America, Vimeo, and The Gotham (formerly known as IFP). His latest short film, "Cowboy Billi," will premiere at the 39th Critic's Week at the Venice International Film Festival. Gianni is currently developing several feature-length projects, which have previously received support from the Torino Film Lab, IFP Week, Oxbelly Lab, and the esteemed SFFILM Rainin Grant. In addition to his filmmaking, Gianni teaches film at John Cabot University in Rome and New York University in Florence. He joined JCU in 2022.
