Bio

Adele Tulli is a film director and researcher, exploring innovative documentary forms and essayistic film practices. Following an M.A. in Documentary at Goldsmiths and a Ph.D at Roehampton University, she now teaches non-fiction, and experimental cinema. Her short films "365 Without 377" (2011), and "Rebel Menopause"(2014), have screened at numerous festivals and won several awards. Tulli’s feature debut, Normal (2019), premiered in Berlinale and later screened in many international festivals, winning the Nastri d’Argento (Italy’s Film Critics Association Awards), among other awards. Her latest film REAL (2024) premiered at the Locarno Film Festival, and later screened in IDFA (Amsterdam), CPH (Copenhagen), Fondazione Prada (Milan), among others.
