John Cabot University (JCU) is an American liberal arts university in Rome, Italy, with an international academic community that fosters intellectual freedom and integrity. JCU's degree-seeking students are citizens of nearly 80 countries. They are joined by visiting study abroad students from 46 US states, of whom 94% are US citizens, and 6% are citizens of 36 other countries. Our students form a community that expands opportunities to build wide personal networks that endure wherever "home" may be.
This international student body distinguishes JCU as a university of academic excellence, where students engage with the transnational issues of our time. These issues increasingly demand not only mutual understanding developed in an atmosphere of civil discourse, but also rigorous study and learning. Through both, students come to better understand our shared humanity.
JCU is accredited in the United States by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). JCU's Frank J. Guarini School of Business is accredited by AACSB, the global accrediting body for business schools.
