Michele Tocca (b. 1983) is a painter based in Rome. He studied in Italy, Belgium and the UK where he completed an MA, Painting, at the Royal College of Art, London (2011).
His work has been presented in exhibitions in galleries, spaces and institutions, including: Repoussoir, GAM - Galleria Civica di Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, Turin 2023; Positions II, Alma Pearl, London 2023; Premio Termoli, MACTE, 2023; Verticale terra, Sara Zanin, Rome 2021; Le realtà ordinarie, Palazzo de’ Toschi, Bologna 2020; Out looking inwards, PRAKSIS, Oslo 2019; Pittura italiana e altre storie minori, Musei di Villa Torlonia, Rome 2015; The Fate of Forms, FLAG ART Foundation, New York 2014; Spazio Cabinet, Milan 2014. Professor Tocca is the author of texts and reviews on the experience of painting in which he confronts aesthetic questions of artists ranging from Thomas Jones to the present day.
