Giulia Panadisi obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Chieti-Pescara on the topic of motion design for social inclusion in 2022. She is a professor of New Media Design and Advanced Motion Design at the Sapienza University of Rome and “G. D'Annunzio" university of Chieti-Pescara. From January 2024 she is also a Professor at the Department of Communication and Media Studies at John Cabot University, where she teaches Principles of Motion Graphics and Visual Effects. Her research investigates the relationship between communication design, social inclusion and education. She is the author of various publications on these topics, the recently published monograph Design Moving Images (Bordeaux, 2023) and numerous papers in sector magazines including “Motion Design in Online Education” and “Seniors and the use of digital media in the post-pandemic: strategies for an inclusive motion design project.” Recently, together with the design group of the G. D'Annunzio University, she was the winner of the Erasmus + KA220 call with the project “EDIDesk-Open Access Contents on Design for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion for Higher Education Programmes.”
In parallel with her research and teaching work at the university, she is engaged in the profession; freelance art-director and motion designer, she works on communication projects in the field of advertising and public utility communication for international NGOs.
