Imma Vitelli worked for 15 years as a roving foreign correspondent for the Italian edition of the magazine Vanity Fair. She covered conflicts post 9/11 in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. 

She is the author of Tahrir, a book about the 2011 Egyptian uprising (Il Saggiatore) and of an upcoming novel set in war-torn Syria.
