Dr. Giacomo Pallante received a laurea in economics (summa cum laude) from the University of Rome "Tor Vergata." He then completed a Master's in economics and a Ph.D. in environmental economics in the same University in 2012 and 2015, respectively.
Prior to joining John Cabot University as lecturer, he was research fellow and teaching assistant of Political Economy and Environmental Economics at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata." He joined Tilburg University and the Basque Center for Climate Change in Bilbao as visiting researcher.
Currently, he is an environmental economist at the Italian Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea (TA Sogesid) and holds a position as Italian delegate at the OECD Working Party on Environmental Performance. He also collaborates as a consultant with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and Bioversity International.
Dr. Pallante’s expertise and research interests are in environmental economics and development economics with s focus on empirical analysis. He has co-authored articles published in international peer-reviewed journals such as Ecological Economics, World Development, and Food Policy.
