Department of Business Administration at John Cabot University in Rome

Letter from the Chair of Business Administration

Welcome to the Department of Business Administration at John Cabot University, where academic excellence and international business experience are brought together to prepare tomorrow's socially responsible business leaders. Our location in Rome allows students to take advantage of the presence of the not-for-profit frameworks of the United Nations and other non-governmental agencies to develop a broader understanding of the importance and meaning of business know-how.

Our faculty members are successful business people, entrepreneurs and scholars who have prepared for their careers at the world's most prestigious universities (including U.C. Berkeley, Harvard, London Business School, LUISS, and Oxford).  Collectively, we come from and have worked in the Americas, Europe and Asia, in a wide range of industries and managerial positions.  We strive to bring this diverse, international experience into the classroom, punctuating business theory with real life, hands-on experience.  An average class size of 15:1 enables us to pursue our student-centered learning philosophy and encourage individual growth and group interaction—the wide variety of teaching methods we use include case studies, simulations, special projects and the like.

Our students are dynamic, talented people from Italy, the United States and 60 other countries, who thoroughly enjoy the challenges and rewards of studying in a highly diverse setting where they gain exposure to working with others from different cultures, religions, and approaches. When students leave John Cabot, they are ready to start their careers at prestigious institutions, or to pursue further education in graduate programs such as the London School of Economics, John Hopkins in Bologna, the University of Bocconi in Milan, and the Italian universities in Rome.

We offer a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, with concentrations in Economics, Finance, International Business, Law, Marketing and Management, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing.
