Graduate and Continuing Education Admissions
At John Cabot University, we believe that learning continues long after graduation. We offer continuing education opportunities for college graduates, professionals, and individuals who simply wish to expand their knowledge.
Master of Arts (MA) in Art History
John Cabot University's Master of Arts (MA) in Art History cultivates professional mastery of the materials and methods of the history of art with emphasis on first-hand study in the museums, monuments, and archives of Rome. The program welcomed its inaugural class in Fall 2017. It is the first graduate degree program in Art History offered by a U.S. accredited university to be based entirely in Rome.
External Students: Auditing and Taking Courses for Credit
All individuals who have completed at least the equivalent of a high school diploma are welcome to apply as external students to take one or more classes for credit or to audit a class. The cost of taking a class for credit is based on the number of credits earned, as detailed on our Tuition and Fees page, while the auditing fee is €900/$1150 per class. Please note that you may only audit one class per semester or summer term, and that auditing is only allowed if there is space in the class after the add/drop period.
Advanced Placement® Summer Institutes
John Cabot University's week-long AP Summer Institutes are a unique opportunity for teachers to develop effective strategies for instruction of AP® Art History, European History and World History courses in the inspiring context of the Eternal City.
Summer 2021 dates to be announced soon.
