After his first degree in Business Administration at “la Sapienza” University in Rome in 1998, Prof. Signorini started his Master in Philosophy (MPhil.) in Marketing at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, that he concluded in 2003. During his period in Glasgow, Prof. Signorini worked as teaching assistant and cooperated with the British National Health System for designing social marketing campaigns. In 2003, Prof. Signorini established his own consultancy company SPS Srl in Rome, where he consulted small non-profit organizations for developing fundraising strategies. Between January 2004 and July 2005, Prof. Signorini was assigned a research grant by the Lega Italiana Lotta contro i Tumori (LILT) in Rome, where he evaluated the marketing positioning of LILT in the Italian market. In January 2004, he was appointed as Adjunct Professor of Marketing at the American University of Rome (AUR), where he worked until July 2008.
Since September 2008, he has been working as Assistant Professor of Marketing at JCU, Prof. Signorini was confirmed as tenured professor in 2012. Since 2005, Prof. Signorini has also cooperated in fundraising projects for a number of non-profit organizations, primarily Bioversity International, the World Food Programme, Oxfam, and Ashoka. In January 2005, Prof. Signorini started his PhD. in Marketing in the University of Strathclyde on the strategic alliances and acquisitions in the airline industry, he achieved his PhD. in February 2012.
