Why Give to JCU

JCU Annual Fund

CONTRIBUTE TO THE JCU ANNUAL FUND AND IMPACT THE FUTURE

When you make a gift to JCU, you express your belief in our University and your confidence that it will continue to impact the future by providing each student with the academic preparation needed for life-long learning.

Annual giving is critical to providing the university with budget-relieving resources. In the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017, 60 donors made annual gifts, ranging in size from $19.72 to over $50,000. These contributions provided approximately $ 893.000 to support the needs of John Cabot University.

As a donor, you may choose from a wide range of designations that align with your personal interests and connections to the University, such as scholarships, student groups, athletics, or others. When you make an unrestricted contribution to the Annual Fund, you allow JCU to decide how best to put your gifts to use.

A donation of $100 each year benefits:

  • Library: 2 months subscription to an online scholarly journal:
  • Athletics: 10 soccer balls
  • Facilities: 1.6 new desks
  • Events: 1 faculty reception
  • Student Services: 1 student's travel expenses to attend an EU Youth Workshop

1972 Society - Annual Giving Recognition*

The 1972 Society is a program that gives recognition to a special group of Alumni and Friends who support the JCU Annual Fund. The 1972 Society is named in honor of John Cabot University's founding year. Gifts to the JCU Fund (annual fund) are given without a pre-assigned destination or restriction of their use. This kind of unrestricted giving offers the University the most flexibility when embracing unexpected opportunities and facing unforeseen challenges. An unconditional gift allows JCU to maintain its standard and grow by fulfilling the University's needs and achieving its mission. Annual gifts made by alumni and friends help JCU maintain the tradition of excellence and build a legacy of giving to the next generation of students.
