Dr. Stefano Guarino is Lecturer in Calculus. He obtained his doctorate at the Department of Mathematics and Physics of Roma Tre University, Rome, Italy, in May 2014. He is currently a research fellow at the Institute for Applied Maths of the National Research Council of Italy (IAC - CNR), within the European research project "IANCIS".

As an independent contractor, he is also involved in the European research and training project "ECESM", and in one of the research projects of the "Distretto Cyber Security" of the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research. His research activity covers different topics related to cyber security and information security, comprehending, but not limited to, coding theory, cryptography, distributed algorithms, ad-hoc networks, cloud storage, (dark)web-mining and text-mining.
