I have had the opportunity to work both at the river port and at the temple area at Scoglietto since 2010.
I fell in love with this project immediately. It is incredibly interesting from a scholarly point of view: the perfect academic rigor, the efficient scientific management, and the extraordinary quality of the sites all add new light on the archaeological history of the area.
Currently I'm in charge of studying the glass and metal finds. To study these objects together gives me an insight into the material culture of the Roman period; to have the opportunity to examine finds from two linked sites provide information on the economy and society of this region; and the discovery of both glass and metal workshops allows me to investigate production cycles.
How could I ask for more?
