University of Denver
The University of Denver, the oldest independent university in the
Rocky Mountain region, enrolls approximately 9,500 students in its
undergraduate, graduate and first professional programs.
The Carnegie Foundation classifies the University of Denver as a
Doctoral/Research University-Extensive. At DU, we offer more than
65 programs of study, and learning opportunities that will
transport you to new locales, literally and figuratively. Total
undergraduate enrollment for Fall 2003 is 4,481, including 1,028
first-time undergraduate studies students. Coloradoans make up 45
percent of the new first-year students. Forty-six states and 21
countries are represented in the first-year class. Starting this
year, all 5,000-plus applicants to DU will participate in the
Hyde admission interviews.
One hundred five nations are
represented in the University of Denver’s student body.
Non-U.S. citizens comprise 6.65 percent of DU’s student
population. U.S. News & World Report’s annual undergraduate
institution ranking places the University 87th among national
doctoral universities and 48th among the top 86 private doctoral
universities.
