John Carroll University, founded in 1886, is a privately controlled,
coeducational, Catholic and Jesuit university.
It provides programs
in the liberal arts, sciences, and business at the undergraduate level,
and in selected areas at the master's level. U.S.News & World
Report's 2004 edition of "America's Best Colleges" again
ranks John Carroll University among the top institutions in the Midwest
providing a full range of undergraduate and master's programs.
Carroll ranks first in the category of graduation and retention rate
and fourth overall, marking the 15th straight year the university
has achieved similarly high rankings.
The Boler School of Business
also appears in the U.S.News rankings, tied for sixth in Ohio
(with Bowling Green, Dayton and Kent State) and tied for 16th among
Catholic university business programs nationwide (with Creighton,
Dayton and Gonzaga).
