Institute in International Communication

Each Summer II session the Institute brings together students and faculty from around the world to study communication in the home of Cicero!

All students and faculty are invited to participate. It's easy! Just apply as a regular Summer II student and sign up for one of the many communication courses offered. Courses are taught by renowned faculty from the United States, Italy, and Europe. The costs are the same as JCU's regular summer program with the added bonus that you will be invited to additional social and educational events with students and faculty who love communication and Rome!

JCU is committed to building the Institute into a flagship program for international education in communication. We believe that each student and faculty member who is part of the Institute contributes to as well as gains from a liberal arts experience of international learning in the eternal city.

Join us in Rome! Students interested in participating in the Institute can apply directly to JCU, see the Information for Students link. Faculty and departments who are interested in participating in the Institute should contact Dean Mary Merva at John Cabot University: mmerva@johncabot.edu

The Summer Institute at JCU allows for the consolidation of faculty/university programs to establish an on-going summer program in communication that can take advantage of economies of scale in: providing curriculum, seminars, events, extracurricular activities, recruitment of students and faculty, and fund raising. The Institute supports the trends in international education of providing students a global experience within the context of a program of intellectual integrity and positive student engagement.
