Bachelor of Arts in Italian Studies
The Bachelor of Arts in Italian Studies is an interdisciplinary program that focuses
on the study of Italy from a variety of perspectives. The goal of the program is
to provide students with a solid foundation in Italian literature, history, and
culture, while developing their fluency in the language.
This major, enriched by John Cabot University’s Italian setting,
offers an excellent background for students planning careers with an international
dimension. It is also an ideal point of departure for students wishing to pursue
graduate studies in Italian literature or to teach Italian at the secondary level
in the United States.

Please note that students who place out of language courses in the core must substitute
additional major electives for the equivalent number of credits.
The University requires an overall minimum grade point
average of 2.00 in all courses taken at the University, with no more than two grades
lower than C- in core courses.
