John Cabot University's Department of Modern Languages and Literature is pleased to present "The Fourth Rome," a lecture on Rome as portrayed through Italian Cinema. The lecture will be held by Professor Flaminio Di Biagi. Although intended especially for students of History of Italian Cinema, Cinematic Rome and Italian Literature and Cinema, the lecture is open to anyone interested.

Flaminio Di Biagi teaches Italian Film and Literature at Loyola University Chicago Rome Center. He holds a PhD from NYU, a MA from University of Washington, and a Laurea from University of Rome. He has published articles, essays, and the four books: Sotto l'arco di Tito: le 'Farfalle' di Gozzano, a literary essay; Il cinema a Roma, a history of film in Rome; La Roma di Fellini, a study on the famous director; Italoamericani tra Hollywood e Cinecittà, about screen representations of Italians.
