TEACHING POSITIONS 

Assistant Professor of Business Administration
John Cabot University, an accredited American liberal arts university located in Rome, is seeking a full-time, business administration faculty for a two-year renewable position at the Assistant Professor level. The successful candidate will teach three undergraduate courses each semester in the area of marketing and management, and should also be qualified to teach the marketing capstone course (Marketing Management). The candidate should possess strong quantitative skills, the potential for superior teaching, and the desire to work in a collaborative international environment. Credentials required are: an MBA or doctorate degree from an accredited program in the fields of marketing, management, or business administration; significant international managerial experience with emphasis on marketing; and near-native fluency in English. ADJUNCT FACULTY 

JCU is currently seeking an instructor for FIN 202 Managerial Accounting for the Summer II session: June 30th to August 1st. Interested candidates should write to the Department Chair, Silvia Pulino (spulino@johncabot.edu) and include a current CV, no later than May 30th.

 
Instructor to teach a 2-week course in English Language for University Studies, June 11th to June 24th, MTWTH 4:00 to 6:30pm
Responsibilities: The instructor will teach 10 hours per week for two weeks in the English Language for University Studies Summer Program (ENLUS Summer) directed at Italian high school students. The course’s aims are to begin to prepare students for the use of English in a university setting by working on the development of the following skills: note-taking, using library resources, participating in academic discussions, and giving in-class presentations. The instructor will also be asked to participate in liaison activities with Italian high school professors of English.

Qualifications: Post-graduate degree from an accredited institution in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), ESL, English, Applied Linguistics, or other related areas that qualify the applicant for the position. Preferred additional qualifications: personal skills and enthusiasm in working with young students. The stipend for the position is €1300 for the 2-week course.

ADMINISTRATIVE VACANCIES 

Director of English Language for University Studies (ENLUS) Program (part-time position)
The Director will administer all aspects of the English Language for University Studies (ENLUS) – formerly the American Language Program - which is a program for students preparing for study at an English language university. For a complete description of the program click here.

Responsibilities include management and staffing of the ENLUS I & II sequence, collaboration with both the academic and admissions administrations of the University, and limited recruitment activities.

Qualifications: Post-graduate degree from an accredited institution in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), ESL, English, Applied Linguistics, or other related areas that qualify the applicant for the position. Two years equivalent full-time experience teaching ESL, preferably at an institution of higher education. Preferred additional qualifications: demonstrated knowledge and use of testing and measurement designed to assess student skills; training and experience working with students with disabilities and diverse learning styles; knowledge of and experience with curriculum development and outcomes-based assessment; demonstrated skills and training in facilitating student success for students from a wide range of academic, socio-economic, cultural, national, and ethnic backgrounds. The stipend for the position begins at €3000 for the academic year.
