The
Secchia Terrace at John Cabot University is the most beautiful location on campus, a breathtaking open-air rooftop terrace in the heart of Rome. With flowers ringing its borders and beautiful views of Trastevere’s terracotta rooftops, it is ideal for weddings and other special occasions.
The Secchia Terrace can host as many as 85 people for a standing reception, or up to 60 people for a seated event. It is located on the third floor of the University and is accessible by staircase only.
Fees
The Terrace is available for a minimum contribution of $3,000 for up to five hours of rental time, with a surcharge of $500 for each additional hour. Time is inclusive of set-up, the event itself, tear-down, and clean-up after the event. All but $1,000 of the total contribution is considered a charitable donation and is therefore tax-deductible for US and Canadian tax payers.
Reserving the Space
Reserving the Secchia Terrace is contingent on availability, with all University business taking precedence over outside events. The University will accept “holds” on reservations no more than one year in advance of the proposed event date. A deposit of $500 is required to reserve the space and will be applied toward the total due but will not be refunded should the hold be cancelled. Full payment is required at least thirty days in advance of the event date.
