Career Events

Twice a year, in April and November, we organize a Career Week which focuses on your career post-undergraduate study. There are lunch-time workshops given by faculty and external consultants on how to write effective resumes and cover letters, on how to apply for graduate school and find funding, on researching and applying for internships, and on practising and conducting interviews. We also invite guests to lecture on recruitment, graduate school programs and professional fields of interest thoughout the year.

The week is concluded with a Career Fair in which companies, organisations and graduate schools come to address and interview graduating students, providing a semi-formal setting for students to gain a unique and first-hand insight into those participating organizations.

April 7, 2006 saw the first Tri-University Career Fair with American University of Rome and St. John's University, which JCU organized on campus for all the graduating classes. The Fair proved such a success that AUR are now continuing the event on their campus this year on Friday April 20.
