Study Abroad at John Cabot
Each term John Cabot welcomes study abroad students who attend for one or two semesters or a summer session.
The greatest cultural and academic benefits are gained by those students attending the entire year, but one semester or summer session provides a valuable learning and life experience as well. Students come either individually or as participants in a college or university-sponsored group. All students must have a GPA of at least a 3.0 to be considered for admission to study abroad at JCU.

At John Cabot you will find:
- International Student Body: Americans, Italians, and other students from many countries world-wide
- U.S. University System: All courses except Italian language and literature classes, are taught in English, and follow the traditional U.S. university specifications on a semester system. There are also two summer sessions

- Diverse Curriculum: John Cabot University offers a full four-year liberal arts curriculum each semester, with over 120 courses
- Extra-Curricular: A variety of extra-curricular activities to choose from, including theater group, student government, intramural sports teams and community volunteer programs. The University also organizes a wide variety of off-site events, including educational travel throughout Italy
- Dedicated Housing and Student Services Staff: We fully understand the concerns of study abroad students and parents. Our Housing and Student Services staff will be with you every step of the way. Personal attention is always there when you need it
- Reputation: John Cabot University is the select study abroad site in Italy for universities from throughout the U.S. and the rest of the world, including the University of Notre Dame, Emory University, American University, and the University of Oslo. Chances are a student from your university has already studied abroad at John Cabot
