Who may enroll in the Summer Institute?
Any student who satisfies the admissions requirements for John Cabot University may enroll in the Summer Communication Institute. See:

Do I have to be a Communication major to participate in the Institute?
While the Institute is dedicated to Communication majors, any student who is interested in the study of communication may enroll.
Will participating in the Summer Institute cost me more?
No. The JCU Summer Institute in International Communication has the same tuition and fees as JCU’s regular summer courses.

What are the benefits of participating in the JCU Summer Institute in International Communication?
By participating in the Summer Institute, you will become a member of a community of students from across the US and world who are interested in communication. Students who are enrolled in the Institute will receive special invitations to events that are for Institute members only. These include lectures and dinners that are part of the educational and networking activities of the Institute. The Institute will also sponsor events open to everyone in the JCU Community such as special film showings and lectures by communication specialists. Students who successfully complete their academic coursework will receive a Certificate of Participation which can be included as part of your international resume.
By participating in the Summer Institute you also contribute to global understanding by bringing your interest, knowledge, and curiosity to others in the spirit of mutual respect and understanding. The Summer Institute is just as much about receiving as contributing to global communication in the best spirit of an American liberal arts university overseas.
Do I have to be enrolled in the Institute to participate in the JCU in Rome Cicero Speech Contest?
The JCU in Rome Cicero Speech contest is open to any student currently enrolled at JCU. To enter, please see the Professor of COM101: Public Speaking. We look forward to your participation!
