Students Visit Astronomical Observatory and Get a Glimpse of Saturn
JCU students joined the Astronomy class on April 7th for an evening visit to the nearby Cimini Astronomical Observatory in the hills of Soriano nel Cimino, led by professor of physics Dr. Alan Bates, who arranged the visit. A clear sky opened up allowing the group to reach for the stars. All enjoyed the open views of the night sky and its constellations. One highlight was the use of the telescope and the image of planet Saturn and its rings seen by all.
